Dr. Conor Gomes is an R&D Scientist at Pion Inc. in Billerica, MA. Dr. Gomes earned his B.S. in chemistry from Emmanuel College before earning a Doctorate of Chemistry at Northeastern University in 2020 specializing in the synthesis and characterization of biomaterials in the Biomaterials Design Group, lead by Dr. Leila Deravi. Since coming to Pion, Dr. Gomes has lead the development of the artificial extracellular matrices found at the heart of Pion’s SCISSOR instrument, focusing on characterizing the post-injection events of pharmaceutical formulations. He is also a reviewer for the International Journal of Pharmaceutics.
