Irene Rossi is currently working at Harro Höfliger (DE) as Consultant Inhalation Technology supporting the team and clients on topics related to novel and established drug delivery technologies, particularly focused on nasal and inhalation delivery. Irene obtained a MSc in 2014 and a PhD in Drugs, Biomolecules and Health Products at the University of Parma (Italy) in 2019. During her PhD she spent 6 months at College of Pharmacy, University of New Mexico (Albuquerque, NM, USA).
In 2019 she joined Nanopharm, An Aptar Pharma Company (UK) where she covered different roles. Most recently, she was leading a group focused on the development of new formulation technologies for OINDP products comprising both small and large molecules as Head of New Modalities.
Up to date, Irene has published 7 original papers and 3 patent applications on the development of a dry powder for pulmonary vaccination and re-formulation of pressurised metered dose inhaler with low global warming potential propellants. She presented her work at more than 20 international conferences.
