Xinyi Sheng, Undergraduate Chemistry Major, Georgia Institute of Technology
Xinyi Sheng is an undergraduate chemistry major at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She currently conducts research in the M.G. Finn lab, where she focuses on synthesizing thiol-reactive oxanorbornadiene (OND) molecules and incorporating ONDs into dextran polymers for hydrogel formation and functionalization.
This August, Xinyi Sheng will begin her graduate studies in chemistry at Georgia Tech, joining Dr. Justin Kim's lab to specialize in bio-organic methods. Her academic journey reflects a strong commitment to organic chemistry and its potential applications in biomaterials and hydrogels.
