Mitra Mosharraf, M Pharm, PhD, MBA

Dr. Mosharraf has over 20 years of experience in biologics drug development. She is a cofounder and chief executive officer of Engimata Inc (vaccine startup). She is also an executive board member and Chief scientific officer at HTD Biosystems, managing R&D and development of biopharmaceuticals. Dr. Mosharraf has held various scientific positions for global companies such as Santen, Pfizer, and Pharmacia. In her role as Director of Biologics Drug Product Development at Santen, she was responsible for development of ophthalmic products for retinal diseases. She is the vice chair of the AAPS Nanotechnology community and Track 1 chair for the 2024 AAPS NBC programming. Her academic and industry work have resulted in 5 patents and more than 20 publications. Dr. Mosharraf received her M.S. in Pharmacy and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Uppsala University in Sweden, and her MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management. She holds certificates in Business Analytics as well as Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Biotech and Pharma from MIT and Executive Leadership from Cornell University.
