Dr. Eric Tewalt serves as Director in the Immunochemistry Department of the Bioanalytical Labs in the Clinical Research Group at PPD, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific. He oversees a team focused on oligonucleotide and nucleic-acid modalities, and gene therapy modalities. Dr. Tewalt’s team conducts method development, validation and bioanalysis of immunogenicity, pharmacokinetic, and regulated biomarker samples in support of pre-clinical and clinical trials in a regulated environment. Dr. Tewalt has over twelve years of experience in the bioanalytical field and an additional 9 years of experience in immunology, infectious disease, and cancer research and has extensive knowledge in assay and experimental design. He received his Ph.D in Immunology and Infectious Diseases from The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and was an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellow in the Beirne B. Carter Center for Immunology Research at the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
